Hello beautiful Peeps!
Its that time of the year again, where getting cozy, being comfortable, wearing tons of layers and just sipping hot chocolate begins and its a wonderful feeling! Cooler temperatures mean getting extra lazy, but a refreshing welcome to the summer gone by. Last week, I just relaxed and overdosed on Instagram and tons of food.
Fashion week season is on and we have a lot of fashionable clothing bombarded online. I like it simple, colours have a way of making a bolder statement now. Gone are days when it was just dark colours for winter. Brighter the better. I got invited to the preview of United Colors of Benetton’s F/W 2018 collection and picked my top favorite out of the lot.
Colours and more bright colours where that came from. The latest Fall/Winter 2018 collection oozes comfort, and effortless chic look for the woman of today. The brand’s hallmark style, transitions to fall with clean cuts, high quality fabric and oversized shapes the essence of comfort.
I got to try out a couple of the collection, and what stood out for me was the bright and warm toned knits and patterns. Colour blocking, ombre and stripes, and each piece suitable for layering. High waisted pants, to bell bottoms, flared midi skirts to off shoulder tops.
Menswear inspiration has always set the bar for women to own a certain masculine side and go all out as a Boss Babe! Plaids and checks, which were more masculine, were resurrected to bring forth a more feminine side and definitely makes for a bolder statement!
My top picks were the peacock blue fitted sheath dress, with frill sleeves. Fitted denim with belt, Blue one shoulder top and the over sized and classic red knit top – big logo spell out – perfect for street style fashion.
The installation booth was an upside down room, and was perfect for photo shoot. I felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland!
