Scarves as a fashion statement.

How much do you know about scarves? Let me give you little insight.

Under the Chinese Emperor Cheng, scarves made of cloth were used to mark military rank.

As scarves grew in popularity, manufacturers experimented with various types of fabrics. These included silk, cloth, cashmere, chiffon, cotton, wool mixes, muslin, and modal.

In the 19th century, the scarves had all similar patterns. But after years we have a variety  of materials and patterns to choose from.

Scarves these days are highly versatile to play with. Sharing my take on experimenting with one scarf in different ways.

It is always fun to know how a single piece in your closet has so much history behind it.
