It was an honour to be invited to The Swiss National Day celebrations on 3rd August 2016, at the Mövenpick Hotel & Spa, Bangalore. The grand occasion was hosted by the Rotary International District and Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce (South Region). To grace the occasion the honorary guests that were present were Dr Balz Strasser Consul General of Switzerland in Bangalore, who also happens to be the CEO of Swiss Nex India. There were over 100 Swiss nationals, along with the Rotarians. Also, present were some top dignitaries from Egypt and Japan.
Four Seasons Wines Ltd was the exclusive Indian wine served to commemorate the event. Mr Abhay Kewadkar, Chief winemaker & Director of Four Seasons Wines Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of United Spirits Ltd (A Diageo group company), raised a toast and the evening took off in high spirits.”
The two varieties served that evening were Four Seasons Classics – Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz.
Tasting Notes of Shiraz (Red Wine) – This one has a smokier yet has a hint of spicy note. It is a full bodied wine, a bit dry and good to either drink on its own.
Tasting Notes of Sauvignon Blanc (White Wine) – this is more on the fruitier side, and is also dry. Needs to be served chilled, else loses its structure. I personally loved this one and stuck to this all night.
The evening ended on a high note, as the guests were later left with an auction of the fabulous paintings that were sold to the highest bidder. Watching this was a real treat.
Four Seasons Wines hold regular tours at the winery, and I am definitely looking forward to reserve my seat for their upcoming tour. To know more and book your tour “Click Here.”
